Prior to that there is a Sing-along Concert with fish and chips and Wimbledon Village Hall on Lingfield Road (SW19 4QD) on Saturday 7 May.

Songs on Wheels are back on stage to jog your musical memories of mid-twentieth-century popular songs: the sublime, the ridiculous, and everything in between.

There is a licensed bar throughout, and a s fish and chip supper will be served in the interval. Seating at tables for up to 8: tickets also available individually. Song sheets and kazoos will be provided. Elvis costumes optional!

Ticket price is £20 (includes fish and chips). Book tickets.

Looking further ahead, an evening of Shakespeare on film is taking place on 23 June from 7-9pm. From 1899 onwards and across every part of the world, Shakespeare has been a major feature of the film industry. In Hollywood and London, in Tokyo and Madagascar, his plays have been turned over and over again to be made into something fresh, timely and relevant, by the world's greatest film directors, actors and scriptwriters, whether using his own lines or translated, with fidelity or in distant adaptations. You are invited to the RHN for an illustrated talk from Professor Peter Holland with extracts from films both archival and modern, on Shakespeare’s role in the history of motion pictures. This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.

We've always done that and won't be changing, in fact we'd like to do more.

However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them. Our financial resources are limited and the local media environment is intensely competitive so there is a constraint on what we can do.

If neither of these amounts is suitable for you then contact info@neighbournet.com and we can set up an alternative. All payments are made through a secure web site.

One-off donations are also appreciated. Choose The Amount You Wish To Contribute.
