Putney High School have appointed a new Head of their junior school. Pippa Daverson is to take over the role from Jo Wallace from September 2017.

Currently Ms Daverson takes a key role in all aspects of teaching and learning in her capacity as Director of Innovation and Learning at Kensington Prep School GDST. In her ten years at Kensington Prep she has also held the posts of Director of Studies and Head of English.

Ms Daverson says that she shares the Putney High ethos of academic excellence alongside outstanding pastoral care and that she is committed to instilling a love of learning in all pupils in an environment which nurtures and stimulates intellectual curiosity, creativity and innovation.

Her previous roles have included Head of Junior English at the Harrodian School, Barnes. Ms Daverson began her teaching career at Rowdown Primary School, Croydon, before moving to Kingswood Prep, Bath.

She lives locally to the school and is looking forward to working with colleagues, pupils and parents.
