With that victory, 32 year old Joyce became the first ever heavyweight boxer to win the prestigious Commonwealth title in just his fourth fight - and with only 12 professional rounds under his belt.

The former Putney schoolboy and 2016 Olympic Silver Medallist only becam a entered the professional scene last October. In May Joe laid down the challenge when tweeting:

Joe will now face 6ft 5in Richard Lartey, a former Ghanaian Heavyweight Champion, he holds a 13-fight record with 12 wins, nine of which came by way of knockout.
