Motorcyclist dies following collision on Putney Bridge Road

Police were called at 19.26 on Sunday 2nd April to reports of a serious single vehicle collision involving a Kawasaki 1200 motorcycle carrying a rider and pillion on Putney Bridge Road, SW15.

London Ambulance Service attended. The male rider and female pillion passenger were taken to St George's hospital suffering serious injuries.

The man, Martin Gilks a musician from the NW10 area of London, died on the morning of Monday 3rd April.

The woman, aged in her 30s, remains in hospital in a serious condition (not believed to be life threatening).
