Pedal Powered Police in Putney

giving greater accesability where cars & vans can not go.....

Wandsworth police are working with Transport for London and the Met’s Traffic Tasking Team to combat the recent spate of moped enabled crime in Putney. The borough’s violence against the person & robbery team is leading the operation.

Transport for London officers will be travelling on bicycles to navigate alleyways and areas that cars in pursuit are unable to enter. The Traffic Tasking Team are providing reconnaissance cars and officers on motorbikes to assist in the full-scale response to this crime trend.

PC Wiltshire, said: “ This is a team effort and I want to assure the public that we are determined to find and arrest those behind this spate of moped enabled crime.”
