Witnesses Sought after Attempted Child Abduction in Southfields

An appeal has been issued by detectives for any witnesses to an attempted child abduction which took place in Southfields this Thursday afternoon (7 May).

They were called to Princes Way, SW19 at 3.45pm to a report of a man attempting to force a child into his car.

The child was unharmed during the incident and is being supported by specialist officers.

You are asked to contact the police if you were you in the vicinity of Princes Way, Smithwood Close, Weydown Close or surrounding roads yesterday afternoon between 3pm and 4pm? Did you see or hear anything that may help with the investigation?

The suspect is described as a white male with an English accent. His vehicle is believed to be dark in colour with four doors.
