Help police return a missing bag to its owner
Wimbledon police are issuing two photos which appear to have been taken at a wedding,
in an attempt to reunite the owner of a bag with its contents that were
recovered just before Christmas.
The items, in a blue Ikea shopping bag, were found by a dog-walker on a
public thoroughfare which runs alongside the River Wandle in the Haslemere
Industrial Estate, near Earlsfield, at around 9.30am on December 23.
Inside the bag, amongst other items, was a digital photo frame containing a
memory card. Some of the photos show people at a wedding -
officers hope identifying any of those people, may lead them to finding the
owner of the bag and reuniting them with their lost property. They are pictured here:
Detective Constable Riaz Karolia of Wimbledon Police said: "So far we have had no success in locating the owner of this bag. I am
hoping that by issuing these images, someone may recognise the people
involved and we can start the process of reuniting the owner with their
belongings.
"The memory card contains images of someone's special day - if you know who
these people are, please get in touch."
Anyone who has information they believe could help in this inquiry is asked
to contact Wimbledon Police on 0208 649 3154 or 0208 649 4044.
