A 33-year-old from Wandsworth has suffered head injuries after falling nearly 20 metres off a cliff edge at Prussia Cove in Cornwall.

The un-named man had been a guest at a wedding party at the tourist destination on last Saturday.

Police were called at 7.35pm and attended the scene alongside ambulance and coastguard services.

A Rescue helicopter was deployed and took the man to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth after winching him to safety.

The man is believed to have fallen from a cliff-edge car park, and is said to be recovering well.
