Some parking bays in the area, especially along Wimbledon Park Road, Augustus Road, Victoria Drive and Princes Way will be suspended for the duration of the tournament at the request of the police.

Cars will be essentially banned from parking along these roads, but some other roads will also see parking bays temporarily removed.

All the affected roads will display signs informing residents and visitors of the changes. These signs are prominently displayed on lamposts and at the entrance to each road.

In addition all pay and display machines in the Southfields area, apart from those in Replingham Road, will cease to be in operation until the championships are concluded. This is to prevent tennis fans hogging parking spaces for long periods of time and preventing residents from parking.

And the yellow lines in Revelstoke Road between Wimbledon Park and the junction with Heythorp Street will be in operation continuously throughout the tournament. This means that parking on these yellow lines is not permitted at any time of the day or night, while the tournament is in play. 

Any vehicle parked incorrectly over the Wimbledon tennis fortnight will be liable to receive a parking ticket and may be towed away.

Because pay and display machines are not in use, households in most parts of Southfields have been issued with two free temporary parking permits that can be used by their guests and visitors. They can also be used by residents if they live in a road where permits are not normally required or find they cannot park near their homes for some reason and need to park in an adjacent parking zone while the tennis is on.

People using these permits should place them on the dashboard so the face of the permit can be clearly seen. They do not need to be displayed if the vehicle already displays a valid resident, business, resident visitor permit or a disabled person's blue badge.

These free temporary permits remain the property of Wandsworth Council and are not for resale. Anyone caught attempting to sell these permits will face legal action.

Different rules apply for parking on housing estates in the area. The housing department provides its tenants and leaseholders with permits and visitor permits which are unaffected by the changes to the rules on parking on the public highway. Anyone who unlawfully parks their car on an estate without displaying a valid permit will be clamped and could be towed away.
