A bright start from Putney see them get 48-1

A bright start from Putney saw us get to 48-1 (Neeraj out for 13 to a very smart catch at mid off) and then 98 with Demandeep (33) and Will M (43) in full flow. The scorebook won't tell you about catches they dropped which should've been a warning to us. We were then 107-5, with OE spinners in some control, which they never lost. We limped to 165 all out courtesy of Barry P but we knew we'd not enough runs on a tame pitch and fast outfield. 

And so it proved. Scott took early wickets and Will again bowled tightly but 83 from their first class Indian batsman in at four took the game away from us as we came a distant second.
