Get up early on Saturday June 5th and join the day-long  ramble covering the length of the river Wandle, stopping for lunch at the Rose Garden in Morden Hall Park. If the full 11.4 miles is too long for you, head north or south and join at the points detailed in wandsworthsw18.com’s Calender.

Saturday also promises a Come and Try Cycling session for anyone over the age of six where Bikeability accredited instructors will help adult and kids to learn to ride or improve their cycling skills. A relaxed cycle ride exploring the Wandle Trail also starts on Saturday morning and runs from King George’s Park to Morden Hall Park, cycling through Merton Abbey Mills and Deen City Farm.

Early risers on Sunday get to enjoy a Wildlife Walk along the Wandle and discover how Wandsworth Industrial heritage has influenced the use of the river. In the afternoon, Wandsworth Town’s industrial history is explored further in another walk, this time up to the Thames, along the Causeway to Armoury way and ending at the Wandsworth Museum on West Hill.
