The band from South Thames College performed at The Royal Festival Hall
Number 23, South Thames College’s student band, sang to a one thousand strong audience at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall on Monday night. Songs included Mystery, one written, arranged and directed by the students themselves. The music department at the College is successful and names Miss Dynamite as a past pupil. Students from the music department compete in national competitions and in recent years won the World Skills UK competition in 2010 and were runners up in 2011. Nick Osbourne from the College music department said: Sing Inspiration is organised by iGospel UK and is now in its sixth year. It runs over two days and is an inspirational music project that sets up choirs for different age groups around the country. The event continues and will include sets from MOBO Award winner Rachel Kerr and up and coming London singer Israel J Allen.
