At London Mumpreneurs’ conference ‘Angels and Dragons’

On 2nd February 2011 Karen Hardy, celebrity mumpreneur Strictly Come Dancing Champion and founder of Karen Hardy Studios and former champion of Strictly Come Dancing, will open the third London Mumpreneurs’ conference hosted by London Mums, the only free and independent peer support group for mums based in London, in collaboration with award-winning edutainment centre Eddie Catz.

The event titled ‘Angels and Dragons’ is aimed at any mum (or mum-to-be) and dad in business. Whether they are simply weighing up their options, just started out, or have been running for years, this event is a unique opportunity for mums to hear the testimonials of the most successful mumpreneurs in the UK, network with likeminded people, and have the chance to ask questions to celebrity mumpreneurs.

The Angels & Dragons’ event in particular has been created to allow mumpreneurs and other small and home-based businesses to gain insight into the brand value and pitching a business idea to potential investors or sponsors and raise the financial capital needed, whilst networking with fellow entrepreneurs over drinks and nibbles. Attendees can pitch their business idea to the angels and dragons at the end, if they dare!

Speakers include Lois Cook, a founder of Angels Den, Angel Investor and serial entrepreneur who will explain who the Angels and Dragons are and will give tips on how to pitch a business idea, Jude Thorne, Chief Executive Officer of The Ice Organisation Ltd, who will tell her personal success story and the A to Z on how to start up and fund a business, and Robert Norum, Marketing consultant and entrepreneur who will talk about the brand value.
