The Royal Festival Hall is preparing for its loudest performance to date, with over 50 local schools performing together for two evenings of inspiring music at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall on March 7th and 8th.
Wandsworth is represented by pupils from All Saints Primary, Chesterton Primary, Earlsfield Primary, John Burns Primary, Smallwood Primary, Westbridge Primary, Southfields Secondary, St Cecilia’s Secondary as well as South Thames College Age Activity (adults) and PC Choir (adults).
Lasy Year’s Sing inspiration was described as “a jaw-dropping experience”.
Collaborating with leading musical professionals, over 2,000 young people from schools across London will come together for a ground-breaking spectacular mass choir performance. The show will feature the cream of musical and vocal talent, with original gospel performances all accompanied by a dynamic live band and horn section... witness 2,000 children singing as one voice.
Sing inspiration! 2011 features choirs from various schools and communities across London including Enfield, Hackney, Newham and Southwark with ages ranging from eight to eighty.
igospel.uk is a singing project working with schools and community groups across the country. For more than 10 years, director David Levale and his team of music and vocal tutors have delivered workshops and programmes to thousands of people across the UK.
One of the UK’s leading music educators and producers, igospel has taken residency in the Southbank Centre’s programme of events as the Royal Festival Hall opens its doors to gospel music once again.
