A sizzling mix of jazz, classical, gospel, folk and Broadway sung by three fantastic choirs
A sizzling mix of jazz, classical, gospel, folk and Broadway sung by three fantastic choirs makes this a night to remember!
This coming summer the Addison Singers have a great new format for their concert on 4th July at St. Andrew’s Church, Fulham. In a celebration of American Independence Day we are bringing together three of our choirs who usually sing separately, for a diverse concert of styles from classical to jazz. Including arrangements of old American songs by Copeland and others, a beautiful Moses Hogan spiritual, the amusing “Animal Crackers” and “Seal Lullaby” by Eric Whitacre from our Oratorio and Chamber Choirs, through show tunes from the best years of Broadway from our Jazz Ensemble, the choirs join together for Sondheim’s stunning ‘Ballad of Sweeney Todd’ for a show stopping finale. Put the date in your diary now!
