Mobile Ticketing Is Coming To River Buses |
Enabling customers to pay for their trip via any compatible smartphone Thames Clippers has signed a a five-year agreement with London-based Masabi to offer a system to buy tickets on mobile phones to their three million plus commuters and visitors every year. The river bus services run from Putney along the Thames to Woolwich, with some vessels providing free WiFi and on-board Costa Coffee shops. The new Thames Clippers mobile tickets will use Masabi’s app-based JustRide product. Sean Collins, CEO of Thames Clippers, said: Masabi currently provides mobile ticketing for 13 of the UK’s rail operators as well as the cities of Boston and San Diego in the USA.
