'Shooting Incident' At South Thames College | |||||
A student was treated for minor injuries
Police were called at approx 1340hrs on Wednesday, 2 February to reports of a fight in progress involving a number of people on Wandsworth High Street.
A spokesman for STC told PutneySw15.com that the college continues to work closely with the police in this matter and will not tolerate unlawful behaviour. South Thames College has rigorous security systems in place including a security barrier in the entrance, a ‘no ID, no entry’ policy for all staff and students and security guards positioned throughout the campus. The College also works closely with the Police to install security arches at key points in the year.
Theme weeks such as ‘Anti Bullying’ and ‘Staying Safe’ Week are organised throughout the year to educate students on important issues. Counsellors are available for students to talk to about any personal issues they might have, and trained Youth Workers work with our students to reinforce positive behaviour and educate them regarding the consequences of crime.
