Putney High School student Jessica Harper, 16, made a splash at the National Junior and Youth Disability Swimming Championships in Sheffield, winning six gold medals and one silver.

The sixth former – who is part of a UK squad designed to nurture talent in the run up to the 2012 and 2016 Paralympics - swam personal best times in all individual events and was also awarded a trophy for top female performer in her age group.

This is a busy week for Jessica as she returns to London to prepare for her mock AS exams at Putney. She will then head to Manchester for the British Gas Swimming Championships where she will compete in the same pool with the likes of Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington.
