The richest season in the culinary calendar
Autumn is the richest season of the culinary calendar, with late summer produce such as plum tomatoes, courgettes, peppers and aubergines still plentiful. There is an abundance of ingredients including pumpkin, brassicas and figs but what makes this time of the year so special are the wild mushrooms, including porcini, girolle and black trumpet.

We will also be featuring quality game on our specials throughout this season including - partridge, grouse, mallard, venison and pheasant - a tasty, sustainable as well as healthy source of meat.
The organic Rhug Estate in Wales continues to supply us with the best organic meat we have tasted: pork, beef, and venison
Controne beans from a village in Campania, imported directly from the local farmer are back on the specials. These are amazingly creamy and easy to digest, due to an unusually thin skin. |
