Following the Tory successes in Putney & Battersea the results in London Borough of Wandsworth for the Putney wards continued to be blue.
Labour took one position in the ward of Roehampton which suffered the lowest turnout of the wards at 50% but this was a marked increase from the turnout of 32.4% in 2006.
For the borough as a whole
the Conservative Party retained control of Wandsworth Council following yesterday's local elections.
The Conservatives claimed 47 seats to Labour's 13.
The result represents a net change of four seats on the 2006 local election.
Labour gained two seats in Tooting Ward and one each in Furzedown and Roehampton and Putney Heath Ward.
Council leader Edward Lister said:
"This is an excellent result at a time of great national change. Wandsworth has a reputation for delivering value for money services. We will continue to protect local people as we face up to the huge challenges ahead."
