Detectives arrested a 34 year old from Twickenham
Detectives in Wandsworth have arrested a man in connection with an assault in Putney following an appeal on the Crimewatch programme.
A 34-year-old man from Twickenham attended a south London police station on Tuesday, 16 June and was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been bailed to return to a south London police station in late June.
The incident occurred on Saturday, 11 April at around 21:50hrs when a 29-year-old man was assaulted outside a club on Putney High Street.
During the incident the suspect bit off the top inch of the victim's ear.
London Ambulance Service attended and took the injured man to a central London hospital for treatment.
Police continue to appeal for any witnesses, especially a woman in her twenties who witnessed the attack to come forward. She is described as having long straight dark brown hair, a brown leather jacket and blue jeans.
