The Wandsworth Community Safety Trust Needs Your Help | |||
Can you spare a few hours and make a difference to where you live?
Want to make a difference in your local area? Could you spare a couple of hours a week to join our two volunteers who fit locks to doors and windows on older resident’s homes in the Borough? It doesn’t have to take over your life you can put in as many hours as you wish to help these vulnerable people. Some of them are victims of burglary and are devastated by the experience – we want to make them feel safe again in their own homes. Or maybe you could do a bit of gardening or exterior painting for them. A tidy, looked after garden and home makes them less of a target for the burglars and rogue traders. Full training will be given once a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service previously CRB) check has been made.
