Police search for a missing man from Hailsham moves to Wandsworth area

Police concerned for the welfare of missing Hailsham man Ashley Colton, 23, believe he could be in Wandsworth. Ashley suffers with mental health issues and was last seen late morning on Tuesday 7 April in Hailsham.

He is described as being white, 6' 1" and of muscular build. He has short dark hair and a prominent beard. He was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit top and grey tracksuit bottoms with trainers and a black baseball cap.

Detective Inspector Neil Ralph said: “Recent information that we have received leads us to believe that Ashley may have converted to Islam and could be visiting mosques in the Wandsworth area.”

“He is extremely vulnerable and requires regular medication. Ashley may be alarmed if approached and may become aggressive, particularly towards women.

“If you see him or know of his whereabouts please call 999 immediately quoting Sussex Police serial 521 of 07/04."
