MP Justine Greening encourages residents to take part.
Local MP, Justine Greening, welcomed Heathrow’s decision to extend the consultation event it is holding in Putney on Monday 3 March and urged local people to take part.
Justine said:
“I asked Heathrow if they could extend the opening hours to give as many people as possible the opportunity to have a look at its proposal for a runway to the north west of Heathrow - the option shortlisted by the Davies Commission for further consideration - and I am pleased they have now agreed to stay open until 9pm.
“It is really important that local residents have the chance to find out as much as possible about Heathrow’s plans for expansion and how they might impact on our local community. I hope as many people as possible will go along on Monday and put their questions to the Heathrow team. I will also be arranging a further public meeting with Heathrow later in the year so that residents have another opportunity to find out more and to give their views.”
Representatives of Heathrow Airport will be at The Putney Pantry, St Mary’s Church, on Monday 3 March between 12 and 9pm.
Drop-in events are also taking place in eight other local areas which will also give people the chance to ask questions and influence the plans.
