Detectives in Richmond investigating an allegation of grievous bodily harm have charged a man.

Twenty five year old Christopher Jones, from Girdlers Road, Hammersmith, W14 was charged on Saturday, 12 September with unlawful wounding.



The charge relates to the assault of a 40-year-old man on Barnes Common at approximately 5.30pm on Sunday, 6 September.

Jones appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' on Monday, 14 September

A second 25-year-old man has also been arrested in connection with the assault. He has been bailed to return to a police station on a date in late October.
