Picture of life in the Army to be unveiled in Roehampton
A real picture of life in the Army will be revealed at Parkstead House, Roehampton, on Thursday July 22 when a dynamic multi-media road show shows how the modern British Army saves lives around the world. The Army Presentation Team (APT) aims to inform local audiences about exactly what the Army does, including roles such as providing humanitarian aid and disaster relief in the wake of a natural disaster, fighting terrorists and protecting UK citizens at home and abroad. The APT provides a platform for the Army’s front-line men and women to talk directly to people across the UK. Ordinary soldiers tell their stories while the Chief of the General Staff, General Sir David Richards, introduces the presentation. The team travels the length of the country each year with a mission to explain how taxpayers’ money is spent and what return the public can expect from its investment. The formal presentation will be followed by a lively question and answer session in which the team will tackle questions posed by the invited audience. More information is here: Meet The Army.
