15,000 visitors are expected at Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE 2011, the UK’s largest family history show. The event is a one-stop-genealogy-shop where visitors can discover the landscape of their past guided by over 200 exhibitors; ranging from The Society of Genealogists and The National Trust to The Royal Artillery Museums and Family Tree DNA.
Tony Robinson, star of Time Team, will discuss how the 1911 Census can be used to piece together your family tree.
Monty Don, writer and green fingers presenter of BBC’s Gardeners’ World, will share fascinating discoveries from his own past.
Eric Knowles, ceramics expert on the Antique Roadshow, will help visitors identify family treasures handed down through generations.
Hugh Quarshie, actor, will appear on Saturday 26th February and Ainsley Harriott, TV personality on Sunday 27 February.

Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE 2011, sponsored by Ancestry.co.uk and The Telegraph, is the UK’s largest family history show taking place at London’s Olympia from 25 – 27 February 2011.
The event is a one-stop-genealogy-shop where visitors can discover the landscape of their past guided by over 200 exhibitors; ranging from The Society of Genealogists and The National Trust to The Royal Artillery Museums and Family Tree DNA.
From seasoned researchers to beginners starting out on their voyage of discovery, guests can uncover the lives of their ancestors. Celebrity speakers, including television presenter and horticulturalist, Monty Don, will be on hand to recount tales from their own past. Tony Robinson will also appear, courtesy of Ancestry.co.uk, to discuss the 1911 Census and how it can be used to piece together your family tree

The Society of Genealogists will also be running over 100 workshops to suit both beginners and experienced researchers. There will be classes on how to tackle a brick wall and sessions dedicated to specialist topics including Irish Ancestry and Jewish Roots. |
