Urban planner & long term Putney resident David Irwin's proposals

On 5th January a survey was carried out between 10.00 am and 12.00 am on the 5th of January 2013 by volunteers from the Putney Society, the Battersea Society, the Wandsworth Society, Wandsworth Cycling Campaign, Wandsworth Environment Forum and Wandsworth Living Streets.

The purpose of the survey was to better understand the use of the High Street in terms of :-
1. the number of pedestrians
2. the composition and volume of traffic, and
3. the number of occupants within vehicles
In addition a questionnaire survey was carried out at the same time to ascertain how and why
pedestrians come to the High Street, are they satisfied with the environment, and if not, why.To see the resultsin PDF format click here.
