Mezza - Lebanese Cuisine On The Lower Richmond Rd |
|||||
A busy Saturday night bodes well - a table was hard to get!
Mezza is a small & buzzing restaurant in West Putney whose chef who is also the owner has a passion for Lebanese cuisine. Mezza’s offers a delightful Middle Eastern culinary experience in SW15. With a strong emphasis on a delicious fusion of fresh quality ingredients, traditional Lebanese flavours are incorporated into classic and innovative dishes. The main courses chosen were Shish Chicken (12.50) a Shish Lamb (13.95) and the Vegetarian Shish which includes haloumi cheese (10.95) - the meats were tender & succulent and served with a vegetable skewer and either rice or couscous. We were given Lebanese mint tea (a very sweet variety served in glasses) with some very tasty baklava (sweet pastry made of layers of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup or honey) whilst we waited for the bill. For four people including two bottle of wine the total cost was £135.80 excluding service, which was very welcoming and efficient. A reservation is recommended! Mezza offers a home delivery service (6-9pm) if you fancy bring a little middle eastern cuisine to your home (or garden during these summer months). Lunch is also available from 12 noon-2.30 pm including wraps from £4.90 and a mixed lunch platter (8.50) |
