Putney’s festive season officially begins on Friday 28 November, as St Mary’s Church Square transforms into a hub of music, lights and celebration. From 3pm, enjoy a full programme of performances hosted by Riverside Radio and Positively Putney, featuring choirs from local schools and community groups.
The schedule includes:
- Our Lady of Victories, The Roche School, All Saints, Oasis, Hotham, Hurlingham and Ark Putney Academy choirs
- Performances by Putney Stagecoach, Group 64 Theatre for Young People, and Lucie Benson School of Dance
- Switch-On at 6pm, lighting up Putney’s town centre with festive sparkle
Visitors can warm up with mulled wine and mince pies, browse the Christmas market for handmade gifts and seasonal treats, and enjoy the joyful atmosphere with friends and family.
The celebrations continue on Saturday 29 November with Putney’s Winter Wonderland Ice Sculpture Trail, running from 10am to 6pm.
Organised by Positively Putney, the trail features 20 ice sculptures scattered across the town centre, each one designed to ignite imagination and festive spirit. Sculptures are carved by local specialists Icebox, and include seasonal scenes, characters and surprises.
