The festival returns for the sixteenth year
Visit Putney in mid-September to enjoy the ever-entertaining Putney Music Festival, featuring live and DJ presented music throughout Putney’s eclectic range of pubs, clubs and restaurants - from the 13th to 15th September. Enjoy the riverside in the sun, then slip into one of the many venues to relax over a drink and some cool vibes! Now in its 16th year we aim to offer you a great range of music to suite a wide range of tastes. This year’s line-up includes ‘The Jammed’ at the Dukes Head, playing swinging mod music, the Halfmoon Putney features ‘The London Community Gospel Choir’ (pictured left). Rock memorial band Too Rex + The Marc Bolan Radio Roadshow, and free live jazz, Adam Masetsrson at Putney Station Bar, ‘Therapy’ at The Fez and acoustic guitar performers at The Spencer. Past music styles have ranged from opera at Carluccio’s in Putney Wharf, to incredible Elvis and Rat Pack tribute singers at Valentina Fine Foods in the Upper Richmond Road. Whatever your musical preference there’s something for you. Putney pub and restaurant venues will have live and DJ presented music in and around the town. If you’ve never been before, why not get some friends together and come along for a great time in Putney - you could even try working through the programme! The full music programme with details of acts and artists will be published in early September at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/putney (see Putney Music Festival). So make a note in your diary and come along for a weekend of music starting Friday 13th September.
