Fri 05 IAN MCLAGAN (SMALL FACES & THE FACES)   Join Mac for a special night of songs, stories and laughs. Featuring Jon Notarthomas of the Bump Band. Hang out for a ‘meet & greet’ with Mac after the show! Don't miss these wonderful and exclusive performances live at The Half Moon! 3 night special! Ian McLagan is a genuine, dyed-in-the-wool rock’n’roller. In fact, his smiling visage — he was, after all, a member of the Small Faces and the Faces — would serve as an ideal illustration in the proverbial Dictionary of What Is Truly Cool. The man known to his many mates and even more fans and admirers as 'Mac' is the sort who shrugs off such puffery. And then he just carries on creating splendid and genuine rock’n’roll as well as musically aid and abet a marquee line-up of truly blue ribbon talent that he has toured and recorded with: The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Taj Mahal, John Hiatt, David Lindley, Paul Westerberg, Billy Bragg and Patty Griffin, to name some but hardly all of the notables that McLagan has worked with over his four-plus decade career. £15

Sun 21 JOHN OTWAY & WILD WILLY BARRETT ***THIS IS A RESCHEDULED EVENT FROM 5TH JUNE*** The pair first achieved notoriety with an eye-watering performance on Old Grey Whistle Test after Otway landed on his testicles trying to jump over Willy’s amp. And a subsequent hit single 'Really Free' in 1977. Otway's heady mix of blind ambition and rank incompetence was to keep this microstar shining for almost two decades despite his ability to turn any situation to his own disadvantage. His autobiography 'Rock and Roll's Greatest Failure' out sold, by a factor of ten, all the records he had released since his hit. His finest moment came in 2002. Asked what he wanted for his 50th birthday, he requested "A second hit". A concerted drive, including a poll, scrutinised by the Electoral Reform Society, to select the track, saw "Bunsen Burner" — with music sampled from the Trammps classic "Disco Inferno" and lyrics devised to help his daughter with her chemistry homework — reach the UK number 9 on 6 October, and earned Otway an appearance on Top Of The Pops, BBC Television's flagship popular music programme.  Wild Willy Barrett is one of the most accomplished multi-instrumentalists working today, playing acoustic classical guitar with an original style and virtuosity few could match. His musical style is witty and his humour onstage is dry. £12

Wed 24  SKINNY MACHINES   In eleven short months London-based alt-rockers Skinny Machines have written, recorded and produced the album 'Wrong Side Of The River' and toured extensively in the UK and Europe. Reminiscent of The Cure if they had been crossbred with Biffy Clyro’s dirty guitars, ‘Skinny Machines' echo the night life of South London, producing a shimmering blend of poignant lyrics, heavy riffs and catchy melodies. Having supported the likes of The Kooks, The Zutons and The Maccabees, the trajectory of this band seems like a foregone conclusion. FREE

Thu 25 HALF MOON UNSIGNED: STEREO SON/ NORDIC GIANTS  Stereo Son played a great set at Isle of Wight this year on the Garden Stage opening with the synth based hard hitting ‘You’d Regret Me’ and wrapping it up with another pounding drum duet and solo sections during ‘The Bullets are Coming’.  With a new EP coming soon these guys are not to be missed.  Brighton’s post-rock duo –Nordic Giants smashed onto the music scene little over a year ago. Influenced by the likes of Sigur Ros, Massive Attack and Cinematic Orchestra, the band have already shared the stage with Ratatat, Mogwai and headlined The World Premiere of ‘The Blot Symphony’, an inspirational visual art piece created by Ralph Steadman.  Hidden behind feathered masks and effortlessly changing between instruments, the duo performs live original soundtracks to a backdrop of award winning short films (Provided by Shorts International). From dreamy ambient swells, epic builds and huge moments of power to a combination of dark, funny and beautiful short films, which can bring tears, smiles and actually scare you at times. Imagine the visual story telling of a cinema experience mixed with the raw energy and passion of a live gig- and you’ve hit the nail on the head! £4adv/ £5
