Following morning service at All Saints’ Church on Putney Common this Sunday (19 March) there will be another of the Tunes at Noon series of monthly community recitals.

If the service is not for you then you are advised to turn up around 11.45am when tea and biscuits are put out.

Pianist Robert Bridge will explore music related to dance with waltzes by Ravel and Schumann’s Papillons which is inspired by a masked ball.

Robert says, “The Schumann is extraordinary, poetic and visionary; the Ravel is a wonderful evocation of the 1920s, cloche hats and Scott Fitzgerald - and if you clap ecstatically at the end I have a fun surprise up my sleeve.”

There is no charge for attending but there will be a retiring collection with any donations going towards the upkeep of the church and its music.

The next concert in the series is on 14 May and features Trio Milanova, three young musicians from the Royal Academy of Music who will be performing chamber music by Mozart and Beethoven.
