The Arts Festival runs from 1-23rd May. One of the key highlights of this year’s festival is the Shimmy, which has been co-produced by the Wandsworth Arts team and home live art, the innovative live art performance company.

This fun-packed, unique event, which takes place on Sunday 23rd May in Putney Wharf and Wandsworth Park, will comprise of a series of outdoor activities and projects - artist performances, street dance, interactive workshops and sculptural installations such as:

Graeme Miller’s ‘Track’ - featuring a mass of slow moving dollies which facilitate a human camera-move while the public are individually tracked  under the boughs of a 300m grove of trees in Wandsworth Park

Encounters - who present a series of thought-provoking and engaging activities and workshops

The Big Dance Bus performance stage, Shape Wandsworth’s interactive poetry project and Tara Arts’ performances with young people at the Hurlingham Yacht club are sure to be a hit with the young, while the Wandsworth Wag Dog Show & Shimmy Pet-tastic will delight intrepid dog-owners. With the Disco Shed spinning tunes and providing family fun & games over at Putney Wharf – this is truly an experience for everyone!
