With gusts reaching 80 miles per hour during the night Putney has not avoided damage from the strongest storm in the Uk for five years.

This morning the high winds are expected to continue, with the Met Office saying:
'Exceptionally windy to start the day with damaging gusts in places, but winds easing through this morning. The rest of the day, staying quite windy with some heavy squally showers but sunshine in between. Maximum temperature 16 °C.'
