Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a fatal collision in Putney. Officers were called at approx. 16:40hrs on Friday 28 September to a collision in Putney High Street between a lorry and a pedestrian.


The 77 year old pedestrian, Vittorio, (known as Victor) Kavaliero, 77 of Charlwood Terrace in Putney was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene.

A post-mortem gave cause of death as multiple injuries.

Officers from the Collision Investigation Unit at Hampton are investigating. DC Nicola Linton of the CIU said: "The High Street was very busy at that time of the afternoon. We urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward."
