ASDA Roehampton colleagues are inspiring local parents and families to make healthy changes to their diets with a fun in-store event and competition.

The activity is part of Asda’s support for Public Health England’s (PHE) Change4Life Sugar Swaps campaign, which launched in January and is designed to inspire and support parents and families to make simple swaps throughout the day to cut down on sugar and improve their diet. For example, swapping sugary drinks to water, lower-fat milks or sugar-free drinks, and swapping sugary cereals to plain varieties.

Asda customers will be encouraged look at the way they shop, cook and eat to see where sugary food and drink can be swapped from their diet for healthier alternatives.

To show how easy it is to cut down on sugar, Asda Roehampton colleagues have introduced an exciting ‘swapping list’ so customers can swap as they shop by following a list of healthier options. All customers who complete a swap list will be entered into a draw to win a juicer. Asda is also giving away free water bottles, magnets and leaflets with more hints and tips to help make it easy for customers to make healthier choices.

Asda Roehampton will be holding this activity on Friday 16 January 2015.

Helen Hampton, Deputy Director Partnerships - Marketing at PHE said, “This activity is another great example of Asda’s long standing commitment to Change4Life. By supporting the Sugar Swaps campaign, they are helping families choose healthier options when doing their grocery shop.”
