Voting in Putney began this morning as many early-morning commuters headed to the polling stations which opened at 7 a.m. The polling stations will shut at 10 pm tonight. Residents who opted for postal votes can take in their form until 10pm tonight.

The average turnout over the five wards in the last local election in 2010 was 57% though it is expected to be lower than that this time- the higher figure was due to a general election vote on the same day. (Borough wide the turnout in 2010 was 63%).
