Geoff Davey is a much recognised face around West Putney.  All four of his and Vanessa's boys started their education at St Mary's Primary School and he went on to become a governor of the school. Geoff also sings with both The 1885 Singers and St Mary's Church choir.

Last November Geoff was diagnosed with terminal cancer and he is currently being cared for at Trinity Hospice, beside the wide green spaces of Clapham Common. Trinity is a haven of calm and tranquillity with a team of wonderfully dedicated doctors and nurses who have been incredibly supportive.

His youngest son, Tobias aged nine, was very keen to find something positive and life affirming to do to demonstrate his support for his dad and show him how much he loves him. As a member of his school’s running club, the idea of taking part in a run to raise funds for the hospice struck a chord. He decided to register for the 5k Color Run™ around Wembley Park on 1st June to raise money for Trinity Hospice who are doing a superb job of looking after Geoff. He set himself a target of £3,500 but absolutely smashed this by raising an astonishing £13,000 plus so far.

The Color Run™, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique color race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community. Less about your 10-minute-mile and more about having the time of your life, The Color Run is a five-kilometre, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometre. The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “Color Festival,” using more colored powder to create happiness and lasting memories.

Trinity Hospice provides care for over 2,000 people with advanced illnesses every year, within their homes or at the hospice. It costs £10 million a year to run, only 30% of which is funded by the NHS.

Geoff has been a partner at Montagu Evans for almost 20 years and is a highly-respected and very well liked individual in the property world.

All donations are gratefully received on Tobias’ JustGiving page. JustGiving sends donations straight to Trinity Hospice (London) so it’s a quick and safe way to donate.
