Appeal To Identify Man That Fell From Plane | ||||
Images released by police who seek to inform next of kin
Police were called at approx. 07:55hrs on Sunday 9 September to Portman Avenue, Mortlake following reports of a dead body. London Ambulance Service attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man has never been identified but he is believed to be an African man aged between 20 and
30 years old. He is 5 feet 4 inches tall and of slight build. He was wearing jeans, a grey hoody and white trainers. Substantial enquiries have failed to identify the man and officers are releasing two images in order to unravel the mystery around his identity.
He was not a member of air crew or a passenger. A post-mortem was held at Kingston Hospital Mortuary on 11 September and gave the cause of death as multiple injuries. An Inquest has opened and adjourned at West London Coroners Court. Officers are keen to identify the man so that next of kin can be informed. It is possible he was from Angola as he was found with Angolan currency in his possession and enquiries have established that a flight from Luanda, Angola was overhead prior to the body being found. Anyone with information that can assist is asked to call officers on 020
