Putney Bridge is currently closed for essential repairs but Putney Town Centre is open for business and would welcome you to come and discover the beauty of Putney, the great range of retail shops, fine restaurants and pubs, relaxing cafes, excellent entertainment and of course the river bank.

Each day during the bridge closure works the Town Centre Manager will identify a gem of Putney which she recommends you visit.

Wednesday – Art Thames Project
Colour the pavements of Putney Wharf with chalk drawings about the River Thames. Aurora and Grace are taking the opportunity of Putney Bridge reopening to celebrate the beauty of the River Thames in Putney. From midday until 7p.m on Friday 26th September in Putney Wharf.

Thursday – Putney Bridge is opening tomorrow
Putney Bridge has been closed for just short of 11 weeks, but is reopening during the early hours of Friday morning. Some people have loved the traffic free high street and others have hated the inconvenience of it. Some local businesses have thrived from the closure but many have found it a long tough summer.

Come and tell me what the bridge closure meant to you – we will be decorating Church Square with luggage tags which members of the public have written on telling us what the bridge closure meant to them. From midday until 4p.m.
