There have been several cats seriously injured in the local area around Dover House Road & Pleasance Road over the past few months.

It has been discovered that these injuries are coming from what appears to be an air rifle (or similar) as lead pellets have been found in the cats. There have been reports of at least 9 incidents with the latest happening on the 21th November 2014.

Local resident Chris Ross, whose cat has been injured by pellets, said: I have lived in this area for many years and have always found the area to be very peaceful and full of animal friendly residents. I am shocked that this has started to happen as it causes so much pain to both animals and their worried owners. If you have any information please contact me (chrisross79@gmail.com), the RSPCA".

The RSPCA & the Metropolitan Police have been informed and are currently investigating this act of animal cruelty.
