Teenage boy was stabbed in the leg at Southfields Academy
Police were called to to a scene outside Southfields Academy at approximately 3.10pm today (November 10th) following reports that a teenager had suffered a stab injury to the leg after an incident in the lobby area of the secondary school in Merton Road. The Metropolitan Police said, "London Ambulance service attended and the male was treated - his injury is not serious. Three people have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remain in custody." Officers from Wandswoth Police are investigating as enquiries into the circumtances continue. The school posted the following statement on its website from Principal Jackie Valin and Headteacher Wanda Golinska... 'As some of you may be aware an incident occured outside the school today. The student involved is in a stable condition. If you or your child have any information about this incident then please telephone 101 and ask for Wandsworth CID.' Southfields Academy this year received awards from The Good Schools Guide for better results in boys performance in German A Level and girls performance in Business & Economics A Level than any other non-selective school in England. |
