A man has been found stabbed to death in Roehampton this Thursday evening (6 May).

The body was discovered by police after they were called to an address in Dowdeswell Close at around 11.05pm.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were also at the scene and they pronounced the man, who is believed to be in his twenties, dead.

At this stage the police are still working to identify the victim and his next of kin.

A crime scene remains in place and a forensic unit collecting evidence.

The police say local officers will be patrolling the area to provide reassurance to the community; if you have any questions or concerns you are asked speak to them.
