A teenager is in a critical condition but stable in hospital after being found stabbed on Putney Heath around 11pm on 31st January. Police & London Ambulance services were called to the scene.

It is understood that the 18 year old man received injuries following an incident earlier in the evening near Haydons Rd at the junction with Queens Rd in Wimbledon SW19.

No arrests have been made & police are appealing for witnesses.

Darren Williams, Borough Commander at Merton said: "Violent crime is a priority for the Police at Merton and I appeal for anyone who may have seen the incident or has any information about why it happened or who was involved to contact my officers at the CID at Wimbledon Police Station on 0208 649 3126.
