The incident happened on board the number 85 bus on Sunday 19 September at 1400 hrs, as the bus reached the junction of Kingston Vale and Woodview Close.

The victims, who are both in their 30's, had boarded the bus in Eden Street, Kingston together with their child who was in a buggy. Once on board the bus they became involved in an argument with another passenger over buggy space.

The argument escalated, culminating in the male suspect violently assaulting both the man and the woman, punching and kicking them; causing internal bleeding in the case of the female victim. Both victims required hospital treatment.

The suspect got of the bus and headed in the direction towards Roehampton. He was also with a child in a buggy.
