Practice runs halted as emergency services rescue takes over

Today saw the Thames at Putney was busy with the crews from both Universities practicing for the start of the historic annual race on Saturday and the launch flotillas practiced for the charge up river behind the crews on the big day.

But all activity was halted when the emergency services had to kick into action to rescue a man who had fallen off Putney Bridge. There is as yet no further information available on the man.
