What's on in July?

For coverage on the home page of this site and our weekly newsletter which goes to over 3170 local people send us full details of your event.

First priority goes to events which are paying to be listed. Any community based non-profit events will receive prominent coverage subject to the availability of space.

Commercial events can get free coverage but during busy times of the year there is often no available space.

Generally events from outside the area are not listed unless there is a significant connection with Putney or Roehampton.

If you are paying to promote your events in other local media don't expect a significant amount of free coverage on this site. Costs for event promotion start at £30.

If an event at your favourite venue or club doesn't appear on our site just tell the organisers to get in touch with us and it will be added .

WINE TASTING DINNER
inspired by
THE RENAISSANCE POPES

TUESDAY 9TH JUNE 2009
ENOTECA TURI RESTAURANT
7.00pm Dinner at 7.30pm

Alexander VI (the Borgia Pope), Leo X (enemy of Martin Luther) and Clement VII (excommunicator of Henry VIII), some of the most libertine Popes of the 15 th and 16 th centuries, employed the best architects and artists of the time to build churches and palaces, making Rome the grandest city in the world. In addition, they had the best chefs to prepare their sumptuous banquets.

We will explore the culinary legacy of this Italian cuisine with wines from Lazio, Marche and Umbria, discussing the remarkable evolution they have achieved since these regions were Papal States, as well as the lives of the Popes whose conduct was less saintly than their position demanded.

Cost £95 per person.
