Brew has launched its fourth and largest site to date on Lower Richmond Road, Putney. The 3,000 sq. ft. space offers an all-day dining experience with live music, “breakfast in bed”, BBQ evenings, creative cocktails and a delicious, Antipodean influenced menu.

In all weathers, enjoy a drink or two al fresco on Brew’s large terrace. With its 150 year old gnarly olive tree standing proud, reclaimed timber decking and fresh herb garden. Opt for a pre or post dinner drink at the bar where Brew’s mixologist will be mixing a range of refreshing and innovative cocktails. On the weekend, unplugged music sessions in the early afternoon and evening will give guests even more of a reason to linger.

Run by Jason Wells, who began his foodie career as a butcher in his native Australia, the menu at Brew Putney - like its family in Wandsworth, Battersea and Wimbledon – is inspired by his travels, with particular influence coming from Israel and New York. Wimbledon head chef Farkhod Najtmetdinov will now be taking the reins in the Putney kitchen.

Brew’s new wood-fired pizzas from their handmade clay oven built in London make a brilliant lunch choice – the oven will also provide freshly baked, artisanal bread, pide and pizza for all four Brews.

A Butcher’s Shop, complete with dry aging fridge, will offer a unique cut to size and cook to order steak option – think 500g New York cut sirloin, marble score 5-6, dry aged for 42 days, grilled on the BBQ (which will be fired up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings) and served with a simple salad using tomatoes grown on the terrace. A big Australian Shiraz from Two Hands is all that is needed to complete this ultimate steak feast. At the opening event the Brew butcher actually butchered before our eyes a beautiful pig carcass in all its glory. Real skill supporting good fresh food!

Airy and open plan with comfortable banquette seating, Brew Putney is a place where diners can go to relax – there will even be cookbooks on the shelves to delve into over coffee. Coffee is something that Brew are very passionate about, sourcing only the best coffee from their partners Allpress, freshly roasted in Shoreditch daily. And to go with your “brew” there’s a dedicated patisserie where Jennie Svesson will be baking amazing home-made pastries and cakes to enjoy at Brew or take home. Sourdough and a full range of other breads will also be available to buy, fresh from the wood-fired oven.

Whether it’s a leisurely brunch on the weekend with friends or an intimate dinner experience, a barbequed steak for that special date or just drinks in the evening with live music - Brew with its relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere and friendly staff is just what Putney has been waiting for.
