Structural investigation works on the A406 Gunnersbury Avenue between Power Road and Gunnersbury Cemetery entrance are to be carried out requiring night time closures from 16th September for up to five nights.

The lane closures will be put in place during the working times only and will be phased to close one direction of traffic (carriageway) at a time to minimise disruption to members of the public.

The completed works will identify structural repairs required for the road-over-railway bridge. Some vegetation clearance is required near the railway to facilitate investigation works on the embankments and close to the railway tracks.

Railway investigation works (in agreement with Network Rail) will begin on Tuesday 11 to 16 September 2013 between the hours from 08:00 – 18:00.

Investigation works on the highway are due to take place at night and are planned to begin on Monday 16 September 2013 for approximately five nights or till the work is completed. In agreement with the London Borough of Hounslow, the working hours will be from 22:00 to 05.00.

Access through the site and to local roads and properties will be maintained throughout the works. This also includes footway access for pedestrians.

Every effort will be made to ensure that noisy operations are completed before midnight but TfL warn that vehicle reversing warning beepers are essential safety devices to protect operatives

Should you require further information or an update during the delivery of these works please contact the Streets Customer Services department on 0343 222 1234, email: enquire@tfl.gov.uk or via the web at www.tfl.gov.uk/contact.
